The Cooking Industry Catalyst (CIC) is a global industry development program launched by CCA in 2020.
The CIC aims to demonstrate the viability of commercially attractive and scalable business models to deliver high-impact clean cooking solutions by developing – and implementing – a range of interventions aimed at businesses, markets, and consumers. The program has three components: Venture Catalyst, Demand Catalyst, and Market Catalyst.
Market Catalyst
The Market Catalyst focuses on market-level interventions that improve the enabling environment for companies and catalyze investment.
Demand Catalyst
The Demand Catalyst focuses on understanding consumers and driving demand through consumer-level interventions. Its flagship program is the User Insights Lab.
